I desire to express the most sincere joy for the events in commemoration to the 15th Anniversary of the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Karate-Do Shidokan of Brazil Association. The Yonamine dojo, Brazilian branch of Shidokan, has as goal "to forge the spirit and the body through the Karate-Do, and to form socially promising people, as well as transmitting correctly, to divulge and to develop, the cultural inheritance of ancestors", and comes, since its foundation, through its untiring effort, reaching great progresses in spreading the "Shorin Ryu Karate-Do" in Brazil, and forming numerous disciples of promising future. I express my sincere gratefulness for this effort. One of the reasons for which the "Karate-Do", born in Okinawa, evolved to be the "Karate-Do" of the world, is the clear idea that everybody have that "Karate-Do" not only provides more health, but also contributes for the formation of the character. I am sure that, also in the future, it will have a great development, as a martial art for the entire life. I hope that everybody continue to learn the traditional "Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do" correctly, inheriting its teachings. To finishing my words of greetings for this 15th Anniversary, I would like to make my wishes of increasing progress to the Yonamine Shidokan of Brazil Dojo, and of health and prosperity to Mr. Kazunori Yonamine, president of the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Karate-Do Shidokan of Brazil, and to all his disciples and collaborators.
